Last week the visitants of the Gloucester Quays Christmas Market had the opportunity to walk among 40 traditional chalets selling high quality seasonal food, drink, art, jewellery, accessories and festive gifts difficult to find on the high street. In this unique market, the visitors could acquire premium drinks from Barcelona Spirit Brands, like the exclusive Canyero Honey Rum and the well known brands ¡Hola! Cava, 5th Gin and liquor Incense. The Christmas atmosphere created by the Christmas Market and the festive mood of the visitants, was an incredible experience for us, thank you to all the assistants!
Last Wednesday 5th of October, Ink Lovers & Barbieri, an establishment from Santo Tirso (Portugal), was the busiest barbers and tatoo establishment in town. The assistants were having a wonderful time celebrating Quartas Armadas Em Sextas‘ first anniversary. The party had it all, good music, people having fun and Gin 5th in its four different colours and flavours: Water, Earth, Fire and Air. 5th Gin was the one to welcome the people to the party, as there was the possibility to have a 5th Gin Tonic at the entrance of Ink Lovers & Barbieri. There was also a bar inside the barbers, so assistants could ask for another Gin 5th inside. The party ended up being a celebration of 3 hours and a half of good electronic music. The perfect place with the perfect companions!
To welcome Summer, the Club Náutico de Jávea (Valencia) celebrated a party last Saturday 9th of July. The terrace of the club was the perfect place for the event, where a big number of members and friends had a wonderful cultural and gastronomic night. To start, it was inaugurated the first Chype watercolours exhibition, and then the attendees feasted with a Gin 5th tasting (Water, Earth, Fire and Air). Finally, a social dinner was held. The meeting was a success, with a huge participation and the perfect atmospheric conditions… ¡we can say that the party couldn’t had been better!
Garrafeira Gomes, a drink establishment with more than 20 years of history in Portugal, was the perfect scenario for the Gin 5th tasting that took place on the 24th of June. In this gin tasting, the clients could try the different varieties of Gin 5th combined with citric fruits and tonics, creating the perfect Gin Tonic. Strawberries, lemons and limes were the Gin 5th companions and the ones in charge to give a fruity touch to the Gin Tonics. It was an event full of color and fun, where 5th, as it can not be otherwise, where the jewel of the crown, among the 3.000 products or more that Garrafeira Gomes offers.
Círculo del Liceo de Barcelona organized last 28th of January The Masquerade Ball, where 5th Gin had a very important role, as the official gin of the event. This private club has nearly a thousand of partners and highlights for doing activities related with the present and culture of Barcelona. In this occasion, Círculo del Liceo de Barcelona organized a carnival party where the assistants had the condition to cover its faces with masks, as if it were a party from the beginning of the XX century. Women had their best dresses and men their smokings on, splurging glamour and elegance in a ceremony held in Barcelona for the second time. In this atmosphere of mystery and glamour, 5th gin fitted perfectly, giving color and unique flavors to the event.
First prepare the crème caramel following the manufacturer’s instructions. Meanwhile, put 10 biscuits soaked in milk in a baking tray and cover them with crème caramel. Let the mixture set and add a layer of Incense Chocolate Liquore. Repeat the same step adding different layers in the same way. Finish the cake with a layer of biscuit and a splash of Incense Chocolate Liquore.
Fill 4 5cl ice moulds with Incense Chocolate Liquore and freeze. Beat the egg yolks with sugar, butter, remaining Incense Chocolate Liquore and flour. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in the egg yolk mix ensuring that the egg whites don’t lose air. Fill 2/3 of a ramekin with the mixture and place a frozen Incense Chocolate Liquore cube in the middle. Bake for 6 minutes at 190ºC. Remove from mould and serve with cream.
Beat the cream with the sugar until firm and carefully fold in the Chocolate Incense Liquore ensuring the cream does not lose volume. Put the mixture into the freezer until it is firm. Once frozen, make the truffles forming small balls with a soup spoon and cover them with cocoa powder and chocolate strands.
